Traffic Testing and System Engineering
Job Description
PRIMARY SKILLS:
Expertise in VoIP Protocols like SIP, RTP, RTCP,SDP and TCP/IP protocols. Fair Knowledge on SIP call flows
Help build, execute different tests based on performance, stability, security, high availability, scalability, etc
Deploy, configure, bring up the traffic system on the docker environment (on-premise, Azure cloud)
Identify, develop, help mature (tune, modify, etc) the tools required for various Traffic tests. The tools should be easy to monitor, secure and easy to change, scale-up/down.
Hands on experience on shell, perl, python, JS java scripts (at least two scripting areas).
Hands on experience in Traffic test tools like SIPp, SPECTRA, Apache Jmeter, K6 etc.
Hands on experience in System resources like CPU, Memory, KPIs & other key factors.
Excellent log analytical skills on Tool logs and System logs.
Strong general technical skills across the system traffic, networking, databases.
Sniffing and Remote logging tools like putty, Wireshark, ethereal, WinScp.
Proven ability to troubleshoot, investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies and drive to completion.
SECONDARY SKILLS :
Exposure to 3GPP compliance, LTE, IMS domain and Diameter Protocol.
Experience in writing the xml scripts for SIPp Tool/ SPECTRA Tool usage and scripts creation
Exposure & Experience with modern agile development methodologies
Hands on experience on Java and JS (Java Scripting) for Tool Enhancement and Modifications.
Basic Requirements
Responsible for planning & leading all system test and traffic test activities. Test plan preparation, Test preparation (includes tool identification, development/modification and integration) and Test execution, analysis, reporting.
Troubleshoot, investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies and drive to completion and and engage with internal/external teams.
Self-motivated and self-directed, ability to translate technical direction into functional solutions.
Work effectively and manage multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
